“Hudic managed to haul herself up onto the table after a couple of fails from slipping on pools of her own blood. Her implant wasn't functioning, so she had to speak out loud to instruct Sick Bay to initiate triage on all tables. She realized that her mouth was damaged almost as badly as her implant, and hoped Sick Bay was smart enough to understand her gurgling wheezes. She wanted to make it clear that her spine was organic, in case Sick Bay couldn't figure it out and paralyzed her by mistake, but she'd lost a lot of blood, and the effort of finding words made her pass out.”
